Shopping for rings online can be difficult if you don’t your size. So how do you measure your size & make sure you are purchasing the right one? Everyone’s fingers are different & there is no one way to guess your size. So here are some tip’s to make it easier for you!
When to measure
Keep in mind that your finger will change size throughout the day. Fingers tend to be larger in the evenings & can also be affected by hormones, weather, medication & more.
Given this, it’s a good idea to measure multiple times over the day, or even few days to find out the best size for you.
How should the ring fit?
Whatever feels most comfortable for you, but it should fit your finger well enough it won’t slide off, but also loose enough to fit over your knuckle without too much difficulty.
Should you go larger or smaller?
If you’re between ring sizes, a good thing to bear in mind is that it’s always better to go for a slightly larger size than one that is too small.
Wide band rings
If your buying a wider band ring (over 7mm) this usually will require a larger size. So it’s best to go up one ring size.
If you have larger knuckles don’t forget that you’ll need the ring to slide over it. So you should measure knuckle as well as the part of the finger the ring will sit on. Choose a size in between your finger size & knuckle size & then check to make sure that the ring will fit over your knuckle.
